IFFIZI SS27 at AFWL

IFFIZI returns to London for the 16th edition of AFWL with AFROSAMBA — a vibrant exploration of Afro-Brazilian rhythm, Yoruba heritage, and contemporary femininity

IFFIZI is a Belgian-Nigerian fashion brand founded by Sandra Alonge. Established in 2016, the brand celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, marking a decade of bold design and cultural fusion. IFFIZI blends European styling with African tailoring, creating contemporary pieces that transition effortlessly from day to night. Designed for the modern professional woman, the brand empowers “boss ladies” with versatile and striking looks that balance professionalism with an unmistakable sense of style.

Rooted in cultural expression and individuality, IFFIZI promotes body confidence, empowered femininity, and a contemporary Afrocentric elegance. Its distinctive philosophy, “Na shakara,” reflects a spirit of confident self-expression and assured style—celebrating women who own their presence, from the office to standout moments.

The latest collection, AFROSAMBA, to be presented at Africa Fashion Week London, is a vibrant tribute to Afro-Brazilian culture—reinterpreting Yoruba heritage through rhythm, color, and movement. The runway presentation will also feature accessories by Biam Dhifá, bringing an authentic touch of Salvador da Bahia to the catwalk.

Biam Dhifá transforms discarded textiles, loose threads, and fabric remnants into expressive handcrafted accessories that merge fashion, art, and activism. Through crochet and embroidery, the designer reimagines what is often forgotten, creating pieces that carry memory, resilience, and identity.

At the center of the work is the recurring symbol of the embroidered heart—a reflection of care, sustainability, and emotional strength. Each creation becomes more than an accessory: it is a statement about reinvention, belonging, and the beauty that can emerge from what was once overlooked.
